Project Context
Verio is a leading worldwide provider of web hosting services. They brought me on to redesign their legacy web/cloud hosting application.
Role
I was the lead for redesigning the legacy application and website.
I spent a good deal of my time developing low and high-fidelity prototypes with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and using PHP and MYSQL database for usability testing.
I also deployed complex backend and XML data integration with web services for Flex/Flash charting applications & Flash Video Player.
Such a large and complicated undertaking required that I liaise with stakeholders, managers, analysts, developers and a mix of other prime movers attached to the endeavor. From kickoff to close, we worked together to develop the features of the redesign exactly how they wanted, and I kept them involved with the user-experience testing and implementation.
Outcome:
In the end, Verio got a beautiful and responsive design for three different devices: computer, mobile, tablet.
They have a sophisticated new design for their website and legacy application control panels. I also created an elegant new control panel for their (then) recently released cloud-hosting feature; and I tacked on a handy little shopping cart to their marketplace for good measure.
